We're Back!
Did you miss me?
Fred took a few days off of work and we have been using them to goof off. And even though all of our plans for these days came together at the last minute....we are calling it our vacation and I swear I can't remember the last time we had so much fun.
Wednesday was a roadtrip to Fort Dodge to support our high school girls softball team at state.
From there we drove to Des Moines and stayed at the swanky Marriot Hotel (can I get an "amen" for priceline dot com?) for a couple of nights and visited the Living History Farms and then rounded things out with a day at Adventureland.

Welcome home! Sounds like you had a good time. Sometimes the best times are the ones that just happen and aren't so planned out. We're going to Adventurland this weekend. I started looking for a room the end of May and they were booked except for the suites that are way to pricey. I wasn't looking to buy it, just stay for the night. At first I couldn't figure out why everything was booked and then DUH...the state fair is going on. We are staying in Grinelle. We are looking forward to it.
