Here's an idea for a CHEAP way to dress up a window when you don't know what else to do. Or can't afford anything else.
About 5 years ago we added on to our house. We have lots of windows facing our back yard. Which is great. Except when it comes to covering them. I didn't know exactly what I wanted...at least enough to go out and spend a bunch of money on them....
So we put up some blinds. Just so we wouldn't have to live like fish in fishbowl. But these are mostly open all day long. So you see the view. Not the blinds.
To dress it up a tiny bit, I went to hobby lobby and grabbed some flowery garland and some floral wire. And little hooks.
As you can see, I just draped these across the top of the window. And I attatched 2 of the strings together with the wire for the bigger windows.
Not fancy.
But simple.
And cheap.

The top picture is a close up at night with the blinds closed.

Next is how it looks standing back during the day.

And the bottom shot is just the leftover strands of flowers bunched up in a basket.
