American Idol???
Have you been watching American Idol?
This is one show that both the kids and I all enjoy.....and since there just aren't too many of those kinds of shows on tv that would be appropriate for the youngins (outside of the disney channel) and that I can stomach all the way through....when Idol is on, you'll find us in front of the screen.
And we'll probably screen all phone calls too. We like it that much.
Idol is still in the auditions stage. Thousands show up and try for that golden ticket taking them to Hollywood. Thousands. Thousands of which, somewhere down the line, somebody lied to them and told them they were good and should go for it. And thousands more who are just too stupid to realize that they suck and should never ever even try to humm a tune in front of others, let alone hold a microphone and nausiate millions of unsuspecting viewers.
Fortunately, I find great humor in this and have a huge laugh at the expense of these stupid people who are lied to by people they think are friends.
My sister-in-law is one of the few hairstylists to these would-be-stars. But she doesn't go out to hollywood until March when the pool is down to the top 12.
My favorite contestant so far is that guy from the Navy. He is bald. The first thing my 6-year-old says when he claims his golden ticket is "how Aunt Suzie is gonna do his hair?".

We like AI also. Isn't it fun that your kids will sit down and watch it with you? Haleigh really enjoys it too!
